KCET Entrance Examination Eligibility Criteria
KCET examination conducting for Engineering / Technology courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects, irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test on Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry model papers of KCET 2020.
In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classed (Category - 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.
KCET Paper Pattern 2020 and Previous Mock Test Papers
Karnataka CET comprises of four subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. All the subjects’ weights 60 marks each. KCET examination has multiple choice questions (MCQs). The paper is in 16 different versions and students will have no choice of selection or changing the paper.
All the questions carry one mark each and there is no negative marking for incorrect answer. The time duration of the examination is 80 minutes for each paper. Total Number of Questions 240 (MCQ).
