The requisite educational qualification, age, physical standards, procedure to be followed for selection etc are given below. The candidates must read the instructions given in this notification as well as "instructions for filling the application form" carefully in their own interest.
Age Limit for AP Police Constable Posts: Applicants should be between 18 yrs & 30 yrs for Fireman Post and for other posts applicants must be between 18 yrs and 22 yrs as on 1st July 2020.
Educational qualification for AP Police Constable Jobs Applicants must have 10+2 or its equivalent and for SC/ST applicants must have passed SSC and appeared for the 10+2 (Intermediate) exam.
Application Fee details for AP Police Constable Vacancies: Applicants can get application form by paying Rs.25 through Postal order/DD in favour of SP/CP of the concerned district/unit. And No fee for SC/ST Candidates.
Selection Procedure for AP Police Recruitment 2020 Police Constable Jobs: On the basis of Preliminary Test, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Written Examination the selection of the appropriate candidates is done.
How to Apply for Constable Posts in AP Police Department: Candidates who are eligible should appear and submit the application form in the venue mentioned in the notification.
Physical Standard / Test:
For the Post Code No 21 to 26:
Height: Must not be less than 160 cms.
Chest: Must not be less than 80 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 3 cms
For the Post Code No 27 to 28:
Height: Must not be less than 150 cms
Weight: Must not be less than 38 kgs
Eye Sight : Visual Standards required for the above selection shall be as follows
Right Eye
(i) Distant Vision - 6/6 6/6
Left Eye
(ii) Near Vision - 0/5 0/5
Note: In order to prevent disappointment, candidates are advised to have themselves examined by a Civil Surgeon before applying for the examination to ensure that they meet the prescribed Physical and Medical Standard.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): The candidates qualified in the above preliminary selection test and who possess the minimum physical standards will be required to undergo the following tests and qualify as specified.
Application forms: Candidates must apply in the Application Form devised by the Board for the examination, which can be downloaded from website apstatepolice.org in the recruitment folder.
